Ballet is the foundation of dance and a wonderful place for dancers to grow! Through ballet, students develop strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and confidence while learning skills that support success in every other dance style. At Bloomsburg School of Dance, our ballet classes are designed to be fun, encouraging, and welcoming, helping dancers build friendships, technique, and a lifelong love of dance.
Jazz dance combines strong technique with exciting movements, upbeat music, and dynamic choreography. Dancers will build flexibility, strength, coordination, turns, jumps, and performance skills while learning to move with confidence and personality. From sharp, powerful movements to smooth, expressive styles, jazz allows dancers to showcase their individuality and creativity.
Tap dance teaches dancers how to create rhythm using their feet while developing coordination, timing, musicality, and confidence. From learning basic steps to creating exciting combinations and rhythms, tap encourages dancers to become both performers and musicians.
Acrobatics focuses on developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and body control while teaching exciting skills such as rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, limbers, aerial progressions, and more. Dancers will learn proper technique and safe skill progression in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Hip-Hop gives dancers the opportunity to let loose, have fun, and express themselves through movement. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip-hop techniques, grooves, footwork, coordination, and performance skills while dancing to today's popular music and exciting rhythms.
Lyrical dance blends elements of ballet and jazz to create beautiful, expressive movement that allows dancers to tell a story through music. Dancers learn to connect emotion with technique while developing flexibility, strength, balance, control, and artistry.
